All pro DT Jonathan Allen has been confirmed to have a torn pectoral muscle during the game against the Ravens and will miss the remainder of the season. The all pro has been a big time leader and has had a significant impact for the Commanders defense and will be a big hole to fill.

The Commanders defensive tackle line up is quite deep with good players. They drafted Jer'Zhan Newton in the 2024 NFL Draft as well as having splashes of Phidarian Mathis who had a rough start to his Commanders career, but has since gotten healthy and has been a key positional rotation piece.

A torn pectoral is a routine procedure and should keep Allen on the sidelines for about 6 months before he can truly start rehabbing the muscle and regaining his strength and confidence to be ready for the 2025 season.

For now, let's see what the rookie can do.
